chapter
posted on 2020-01-01, 00:00 authored by Richard TuckerRichard Tucker, Patsie Frawley, David Kelly, Louise JohnsonLouise Johnson, Fiona AndrewsFiona Andrews, Kevin MurfittThis chapter describes an approach to establishing and sustaining a city as a leading accessible and inclusive city. The Systems Thinking in Community Knowledge Exchange (STICKE) tool was used in a series of workshops with a mix of key organisations and individuals with lived experience of disability to identify and prioritise feasible solutions to elements in the built environment, community infrastructure, and employment regimes that marginalise people with disability. Strengths and shortcomings of the approach are discussed.
