Cosmopolitanism in Asia
This book chapter takes a quantitative study of Asian cosmopolitanism and addresses the questions and debates in an Asian context. Utilising the 2008 data of the Asia-Europe Survey (ASES) of nine Asian countries, we aim to find out the variants and pattern of Asian cosmopolitanism, address several debates on empirical grounds and find out whether and how the Asian region can support and contribute to the normative cause of cosmopolitanism.
