Hierarchical porous yolk–shell carbon nanosphere for high-performance lithium–sulfur batteries

The yolk hosts a high content of sulfur and the core blocks the soluble polysulfide from migrating outside. This unique structure has rendered a high capacity, good rate performance, as well as a very stable cyclability for Li-S batteries.
